We serve babies aged 0 to 3 years, offering tailored programs for each developmental stage.
The sensory system consists of vision, hearing, smell, imitation (superficial, via the skin), taste, vestibular (gravity, inner ear, and balance), and proprioceptive (positioning and movement) systems. Through these senses, the information and experiences we gain form memories, thus beginning the learning process. Selin Baby Activity classes support this learning process with different weekly themes. Activities and materials are specially selected to enhance your baby’s gross and fine motor skills, cognitive, language, and psychosocial development through processes like seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, feeling, moving, imagining, improvising, and creating. All programs and activities are presented through music, rhythm, and play. After birth, 75% of a baby’s brain development is completed within the first year. By the age of 3, this figure reaches up to 90%. Based on this information, your baby should be highly stimulated in terms of social, cultural, sensory, cognitive, and physical development during the first three years. Selin Baby Activity is a mother-baby activity and education center that provides this stimulation. It believes that the first three years of a child’s life are much more than a period for meeting basic needs like feeding, diaper changing, and sleeping — it is a foundational stage for becoming a functioning individual in society and should be planned accordingly.
We offer courses of 12, 18, or 24 classes. We cannot accept sick babies into our groups. Our play program is only for babies accompanied by their mothers (or in the mother’s absence, by a caregiver, grandmother, etc.). We personalize the program based on your baby’s needs within a tailored educational model. For example, a 12-class course can last 1 month if attending 3 days a week, or 3 months if attending once a week. Similarly, a baby attending once a week can use their 24-class entitlement over 6 months.
Each class includes a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 mother-baby pairs. The baby remains within 50 cm of the mother at all times.
Classes can be chosen as once a week for 1 hour, twice a week for 2 separate hours, or three times a week for 3 separate hours. Until the baby reaches 32 months old, classes are 1 hour long; after 32 months, in the play program, they are 1.5 hours. During class time, you’ll gain knowledge about your baby’s healthy development, engage in various activities to enhance their skills, and receive support on what to do at home.
